Terms of service
What you're agreeing to.
Last updated: 2026-05-19
1. The service
thefaqapp is a developer API for managing and delivering FAQ content, operated by okbrk (okbrk). By creating an account, you accept these terms.
2. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your API keys secret and rotating them when needed.
- You own all content you create (questions, answers, translations). We don't claim license over it.
- You agree not to use the service to host illegal content, malware, or material that violates third-party rights.
3. Billing
- Paid plans renew monthly or annually as selected.
- You can cancel anytime; service continues through the end of the paid period.
- We don't pro-rate cancellations mid-period.
- Failed payments: we'll retry for 7 days, then downgrade to free with a 30-day grace before data eviction.
4. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Resell the API as a competing FAQ-API product
- Run it at a rate that crashes the service for other customers
- Use it to spam, phish, or distribute malware
- Reverse-engineer it for vulnerabilities outside our security disclosure process (/security)
5. Termination
We can suspend an account for breach of these terms, with notice except in cases of active harm. You can close your account anytime from the dashboard.
6. Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We're not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss beyond the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. Where law requires higher protection (consumer law in the EU/UK), that law applies.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the courts of Amsterdam, except where consumer law gives you a more local forum.
